With Darksiders IP going up for auction today, the ex-Vigil staff now Crytek USA, will be putting their bid on their old IP,  in hope that  they can get their franchise back.  The team now over part of Crytek, have worked on the franchise for 7 years, so it is one that is very important to them and would like to  be able to continue with.  The Crytek USA team originally began this series with THQ when where known as Vigil, but unfortunately after both the company and IP had seemed to have been lost after the THQ fallout. But after the fallout many of the Vigil team  members were  lucky enough to have them and some of their IPs taken in by Crytek,  but not their Darksiders IP. So with the sale today hopefully the team and the IP that they created will be together again as many of us would like them to continue the franchise the way they had envisioned it.

Crytek USA head David Adams had this to say via twitter, “Going to bid on Darksiders IP. Put 7 years of heart and soul into that franchise, and I think it belongs at home with its creators.”the company’s interest with Vigil co-founder and Crytek USA principal designer Ryan Stefanelli, who said, “When the Darksiders IP goes up for auction, Crytek will be bidding for it.

So we shall wait an see how it all ends today and walks away with the Darksiders IP , I for one hope it returns to the rightful owners with the ex members of Vigil, Crytek USA.
